General Comments

Before you read any further, you need to know 2 things about Charlie.  First, Charlie is a girl despite being named Charlie…short for Charlene perhaps?  We’re not sure and Charlie’s not talking, which is ironic given she is quite the conversationalist!  Second, Charlie only has 8 of her 9 lives left.  A Good Samaritan rescued Charlie as a stray and left her at the Humane Society.  Unfortunately, the Good Samaritan placed Charlie in a box that didn’t provide her with enough ventilation on a hot Phoenix day.  She ended up overheated and was in danger of losing her life.  Happily, thanks to the medical staff at the Humane Society, Charlie came through with flying colors. 

Charlie is a friendly, loving gal who enjoys attention from her people.  She appreciates the companionship of her people, happy and content to simply lie near you.  Charlie is glad to accept some petting before she decides it is time to move on to enjoy some “me” time.  When it is time to call it a day, don’t be surprised to find Charlie making herself comfortable in bed with you! 

Charlie is a moocher – always looking for food!  This comes in quite handy when it is time to brush her beautiful coat.  She isn’t always happy about being brushed but for a few treats she becomes quite cooperative!  She loves mealtime and will do the cutest “hungry” dance that consists of her standing on her hind legs and doing a little jig as you carry her food dish over to her.  Be aware that if you are late with her breakfast, she’ll let you know by giving you a nudge that clearly communicates it is time to rise and shine!  Charlie also loves chewing cat grass, so you might be able to hit snooze if you have some grass to offer her….

Charlie is a dreamer.  She loves to sit on the windowsill, especially if it is open, where she can curiously watch all of the sights, listen to all of the sounds, and sniff all of the scents that the great outdoors has to offer.  It’s a great place for her to contemplate life and enjoy some “me” time – we do believe she could sit there for hours on end!

Charlie is an energetic kitty – when she’s not directing her energy towards daydreaming near an open window, talking with you, or trying to score a meal from you, she’ll focus her energy on a vigorous play session!  Charlie loves playtime and in particular loves wand toys, be it feather wands, swizzle wands, or some other type of wand.  She engages the wand toy with such enthusiasm that it is not only fun for her to partake in playtime; it is fun for you to watch her partake in playtime!  Charlie loves playing with paper balls or anything that makes a crinkling sound – if you’re lucky she might even play fetch with you!

This beautiful, sweet, talkative kitty is looking forward to the next chapter of her life where she can enjoy having your full attention for the many conversations, playtimes, and quality time you’ll have together.  Life with Charlie will never be boring and never be lonely – she is a true companion that will most certainly make your life complete!
