General Comments

For one so young, Finn has had some life experiences that have left him wary of people and their intentions.  When we first met Finn, he would cower in his cage looking so small and so scared.  Couple that with a terrible ear infection and continually running eyes…well, Finn just tugged at your heart.

Fast forward to today, and Finn has made good progress in coming out of his shell, realizing that people aren’t all bad after all and delighting in their attention!  Once you pass the sniff test, Finn actually really enjoys being pet, brushed, scratched, and adored in general.  The sniff test is quite simple – Finn will slowly approach the hand you offer, get a good whiff of it, and when you pass the test he will lean into your hand so the petting may commence!  You can see him visibly relax as you pet him and then the purring starts!  Finn is still hesitant about being picked up, but once in your arms where he can hear the soothing beat of your heart, he relaxes and the purring begins once again!  Finn will let you hold and rock him like a baby.  If you sit on the couch, he’ll let you hold him against your chest and when he tires of that position, Finn will snuggle up beside you on the couch!  Finn is a vocal guy, happy to share his thoughts with you and hoping you’ll return the favor.  He’s also very passionate about his meals!

We knew Finn was feeling more comfortable with us when we saw evidence that he was secretly playing when no one else was around!  Now that he’s playing out in the open, we’ve discovered Finn loves toys he can pounce on, especially stuffed mice toys that have tails he can chew!  He also likes sparkle balls and balls with bells inside of them that he can roll around to his heart’s content!  Another favorite is his mouse-on-a-wire toy.  Finn also enjoys the companionship of other friendly felines and has even been seen tackling one of his kitty friends during playtime!

Although Finn is still shy, he has made amazing progress in the time we’ve had him.  This handsome, sweet, lovable little guy needs a family that will continue to build his confidence and trust, giving him all the love they have to help him reach his full kitty potential!  Watching him blossom has been an amazing journey, one that we invite you to take part in!
