When Carol walked into FCC she had one thing in mind???that was to find an energetic cat for her cat Finn. She mentioned looking at a few cats this morning so the first stop was to Billy?s room. He immediately jumped up to greet her and he turned on the charm. It was love at first site. Our little man fit the description she was looking for and it didn?t take long for her to make up her mind. She did look at a couple other cats, but Billy was the chosen one today. I have no doubt that he will be one spoiled kitty for the rest of his long life!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to both Carol and Billy.

| To know Billy is to love Billy, it is as simple as that! All Billy needs is a few seconds in your presence to make you fall in love with him. His handsome tiger stripes, squinty eyes, and perpetual grin on his face are the tools he uses to draw you in...as you spend more and more time with Billy it is his endearing purrsonality that seals the deal!
Billy loves people, no question about it. He has no qualms about jumping into your lap, placing his paws on your chest and enthusiastically head butting you in hopes of receiving some petting. Billy especially enjoys head and chin scratches as well as having his chest rubbed; when you scratch his head his eyes get even squintier, his grin gets even bigger, and his purr motor kicks into overdrive...he is the picture of contentment! When Billy jumps out of your lap it is usually to search for a way to get closer to you...for example, if you are sitting on the couch, Billy will move from your lap to the back of the couch where your head is resting. Why, you wonder? Because from this position, Billy is able to rub his face into your head and purr sweet nothings right into your ear. I will warn you from personal experience the sweet nothings he purrs in your ear tickles and is enough to send shivers down your spine! From there it would not be a surprise if Billy climbed onto your shoulder, ultimately ending up on your back. Billy is notorious for his love of riding on our volunteers' shoulders and backs. He'll just sit right down and make himself comfortable. It's so common that no one bats an eye to see a fellow volunteer walking around bent over with Billy perched happily on that person's back!
Billy also loves playtime and is quite the acrobat, jumping and twisting in the air as he pursues one of his favorite toys - the feather wand. Billy will stop at nothing when it comes to capturing the feather wand...even if it means enlisting you for assistance. Again, speaking from personal experience...if you are sitting on the floor, hunched over doing something, do not be surprised to feel the light pressure of little paws run across your back as Billy uses you as a bridge/launching pad to help him get to where he is going! Billy also finds cat dancers intriguing, but it is the feather wand that taunts him most! Of course Billy is more than happy to chase anything that goes flying through the air or skidding across the floor, be it toy mice, crinkle balls, or bouncy balls. Another favorite of his is a stuffed bird toy that chirps when you squeeze it; Billy loves to carry it around the room with it chirping in his mouth - it is a very funny sight to see!
Billy gets along very well with his kitty roommates and has participated in wrestling matches with some of them. Interestingly enough, when he and his roommate were in intermission from a wrestling match, staring at one another trying to decide whether or not to re-engage in the wrestling match, Billy would meow at his roommate several times. This is very unusual; typically cats only meow at people and not other cats. One can only wonder what he was saying...
Billy is such an engaging, affectionate, playful, and endearing little guy. He will be a wonderful addition to just about any home. As was said before...to know Billy is to love Billy...it is impossible not to love this sweet guy!
