About a month ago I walked into the Feline Care Center and Lori Williams was there bursting with excitement. She had just gotten off the phone with her partner Janal, and they had agreed Fritz would become their foster child. I knew she had fallen in love with Fritz, but didn?t know she was considering fostering him. Okay, fostering to her really meant adoption, but Lori was very respective of Fritz, and her 4 kitties at home, and wanted to be sure it was the right thing for all of them. Fritz is a very sensitive soul, he let everyone know he just wanted to be loved and to have a home of his own. He would look at you with those big green eyes, as if asking, ?are you going to take me home?? I guess that Saturday morning he had worked his magic with Lori, and off to his new adventure he went. It didn?t take long for Fritzy-boy to fit right it. Not only did he get along okay with the other kitties, he has become a huge football fan like his mom, and I hear his favorite team is the Redskins! We?ve had many pictures of him over the past month, and he looks very comfortable and happy, and those big green eyes that once looked so sad, now have a sparkle in them.
Fritz, I know you will be one very spoiled boy, with lots of football days ahead!

| It's impossible to look at Fritz and not have a smile come across your face - with his round head and huge, pretty, green eyes - he's just so darn cute and quite the charmer! They just don't come any mellower than Fritz. As soon as he sees you, Fritz immediately approaches to rub up against you in greeting with the hope of getting some pets. When you oblige him, because who can resist a face like that, you realize he purrs on contact. It's instantaneous. Even more impressive, you can hear him purring across the room even after contact is broken!
Fritz is incredibly cuddly and enjoys head rubs, chin scratches, belly rubs, and petting in general. Bring out a brush and Fritz will roll on his back and stretch out his paws to ensure you have full access for brushing his tummy! He'll also walk all around you as you brush him to again ensure you have full access to brush every side of his body! If you stop petting or brushing him too soon, Fritz will gently head butt you to request additional snuggle time.
Some other tidbits about this sweet guy...Fritz does dabble in playtime with fishing pole toys on 1 condition...the fishing pole must be dragged across the floor for him to pounce it. Fritz isn't into jumping into the air to try and get the pole. He prefers that both he and the fishing pole remain firmly on the ground! What's the point in working up a sweat?
Another tidbit...Fritz is a social eater, enjoying your companionship as he eats his meals. Funny thing about Fritz, he prefers eating off of a flat plate as opposed to a normal kitty food bowl. We think it's because he believes the plate is a platter and can hold more food than those other dishes can! You can almost hear him snickering at the other cats as he enjoys his "platter" of tasty morsels!
Fritz is not bothered at all by the presence of other kitties and would be fine in a home with another friendly cat. The most important thing Fritz is looking for in his new home are people that will shower him will all of the love he craves. Fritz will shower his people with lots of love in return! Fritz is a wonderful cat and will be a wonderful addition to any home.
