Charlie
Here you go, some photo's of Psycho Charlie, we really wish we could get him to calm down and relax once in a while.
Charlie I think is getting used to his new home for life, we are set up with Tanya from Desert Dog Obedience for a lesson or two, more for us than him. His favorite toy is the rope knot and his bone. He loves his 3-4 times a day walks and is a real Love-Bug and a a true joy to have in our lives.
Thanks again for putting us together.

It s so good to hear from you. James didn t tell you, but Charlie now has a super knot so now he has more area to cover and leave all nice a spitty for one to grab (EW!). He still has the other knot that you and he were playing with when the 3 of us we met in March. Charlie is doing great. The last time he got on a scale he weighed 60 pounds.
He had a check up on June 3rd at the eye vet . The good news is the inflammation and redness is gone in both eyes and the left eye that did have 3 small, white pigmentation spots on it, has no more spots. The bad news is that the right eye (the worse one), that originally had a white cloudy pigmentation to it, has now turned brown, and unfortunately has spread over the lower portion of his eye. What James and I didn t know (and some more good news as well) is that since the cloudiness isn t black and dense, he can still see through it. (It would be like looking through sun glasses for him.) Of course at night he would have a harder time seeing out of this one eye. He s still on 2 different eye drops: Ocusol-C for the inflammation and Tacrolimus to break up the brown pigment and keep it thin, so that he can still see through it.
I did get him Doggles, but of course he doesn t like them. I remember you saying your dog wears them. Could you provide any tips on how you got your dog to keep them on?
He still chases Pewter when he s fired up, but when he s calmed down after a long walk, he usually leaves him alone. Now that the weather is hotter, he tires more easily (due to having a black coat), so we will take him for shorter walks. He goes CRAZY when he sees a cat outside, but we have him on a harness now, so he s not choking himself (like he was with a conventional collar) and we have more control over him. I call him the great putty hunter because he likes to look in bushes and under cars now (because that s where he s come across cats before he s so weird). We have a fan that s just for Charlie (I know, we spoil him), that sits on the floor and he lies in front of it when he s back from a walk. He also gets a full body rub from James and I when we first get up in the morning and will grunt and groan with pleasure. He does not mess in the house and will do his business out in the patch of grass on our patio. He s such a good boy.
