Rikki and Tux
I don't know if you remember Rikki & Tux but it has been over a year since we adopted them and I wanted to let you know that they are happy and healthy and loving their new environment.
Tux has become so social and I never thought it would happen. In the last six months or so he has cried when he wants attention and climbs your leg for a pet and then falls to the ground and rolls on his back so you can rub his belly.
Rikki talks all the time and has learned that the bed is the place to be. He is still incredibly curious and it can be frustrating at times because he is always "into" something. He is just starting to like being held a little and being touched when he walks by. He would always slide under our hands before so we wouldn't touch his back and now he looks for you to pet him.
They both have not yet become lap cats and I am not expecting it soon, but they come to us and sleep by us now all the time. I think they even missed us when we went on a long weekend recently. Here are a few pictures to show you how relaxed they have become. (Rikki&Tux 0-5)

Please feel free to share with anyone who would remember these two. We love them to death and can't imagine life without our two youngest children.

  2. 2.Rikki just chillin'
  3. 3.Rikki's so sweet when he's not meowing in my face at 4am
  4. 4.Rikki couldn't lay anywhere else but on the frame
  5. 5.Tux hasn't come to realize that he is a big cat and likes to curl into really small balls to sleep
  6. 6.Tux is napping in the bottom of the cat tree. He doesn't fit so this is what sticks out
