Zoya
Thanks for the kind comments. Zoya is really an awesome kitty. She checked out the whole house in a trip or two around. She tested Marie's water bed yesterday afternoon and found it a bit too soft, then she checked out Richard's water bed, and that seemed a bit too hard. Marie and Richard were on Mom and Dad's waterbed watching TV Zoya jumped up between them and found this bed to her liking. She stretched out between them and watched Nick toons with them. At dinner she came out and ate with us. We have a large screened sliding glass door that goes out on to the back patio. Zoya loves to sit or lay in front of the screen door and watch the birds and the lizards on the outside wall.
You had mentioned that in a few months Marie would have a bed partner. Folks I really don't want to upset you, but last night she decided to be Richard's bed partner for at least part of the night. I woke up around 1 AM and found her in Richard's bed. I went back to bed and put on the TV to get back to sleep and Zoya popped in and joined me. Right now as I am typing this Zoya is napping on Marie's bed. So I suppose she has a bed to suit her particular tastes at any given time.
Zoya summons us when she wants our adoration and we go properly adore her. When she is finished with us she simply puts her tail up and saunters off. She sometimes goes behind Marie or Richard's bed when she wants to make sure that she can be totally alone. She hasn't stayed behind there more than three minutes, she is always curious as to where we are and what we are doing. She is adapting to the wierd noises of the washer, dryer, and dishwasher pretty well. She'll hear it, pause, decide that it is okay and then go on doing what she was doing. She really is an awesome kitty.... Thank you so much for sharing her with our family.

Zoya settled in with us immediately upon arrival. She makes us laugh every day. She is great with the kids, but definitely prefers the male type. She sleeps with Richard every night and arises 15 minutes before the alarm goes off at 5AM. I joke with my hubby that no back up alarm is needed as Zoya is loudly vocalizing her request to be fed at 4: 45AM. She is rather persuasive. If someone doesn't get up to feed her she jumps up on the bed and is "in your face" until you get up. (We are all early risers, Zoya just leads the way.) She plays tag with the kids. She hides behind a pillar in the house and then as one of them pass by , she jumps out from behind the pillar, grabs and nips one of them on the ankle and then chases both of them around the house. It is a sight to watch Marie in the lead, followed by Richard, with Zoya chasing them both through the house. She really loves playing with the kids and the kids love playing with her. She is one feisty, fiery cat and gets along great with this family.
Thanks Again for Zoya!
