General Comments

Shay is a very handsome Russian Blue with yellow eyes.  This sweet little man is incredibly affectionate…he delights in having your full attention and will greet you with plenty of head bumps!  Shay can’t wait to get into your lap where he will request petting, make biscuits, and tell you all about his day!  Conversation with Shay isn’t one-sided though, while relishing the petting he’s receiving, Shay enjoys being spoken to and filled in on the thoughts that are on your mind as well!  Shay is not only a superb snuggler, he is a superb confidant and companion.

Shay adores playtime and enjoys checking out the many different types of toys he has encountered.  He finds the trackball toy very intriguing, trying to determine the best strategy to employ so he can set that ball free!

When Shay was turned into the Humane Society as a stray, he had a cold & was recovering from wounds to his legs.  Upon joining the RESCUE family, Shay has continued to heal and thrive under the TLC provided to him by our volunteers.  Shay was especially open to our goal of fattening him up!  He was also happy to shower our volunteers with all the love he has inside him now that he is no longer on his own.  Shay is a real sweetheart who will bring a sense of love, companionship, and happiness to the person or family lucky enough to adopt him!
