Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in learning more about volunteering with RESCUE. Please take a moment to review the list of roles below. All RESCUE volunteers must be at least 21 years old. If you are interested in volunteering in one of those roles, please email the contact person for that role.

Dog Foster Parent (DF) - This position involves caring for dogs in your home while they are awaiting adoption. Foster care is an excellent environment for us to learn an enormous amount of information about the dog, which helps the MatchMakers make the most appropriate life long match. There are certain requirements prior to being approved as a Foster Parent, including completing a Foster Parent Application and interview.

Cat Foster Parent (CF) - This position involves caring for cats in your home when they cannot be in our Adoption Centers. Foster care is an excellent environment for us to learn an enormous amount of information about the cat, which helps the MatchMakers make the most appropriate life long match. There are certain requirements prior to being approved as a Foster Parent, including completing a Foster Parent Application and interview.

Dog Caretaker (DC) - This position involves spending quality time with one of our amazing RESCUE dogs.  Activites are dog dependant but can include any of the following:  walks, hikes, jogs.  Additional options would be to hang out at local Farmer's markets, dog friendly cafes, parks, local fairs or sometimes the RESCUE dog may just want to hang out with you on the couch at your house for a quiet nap.  

Shifts: 1-2 hours.  Weekly or twice a month options
