General Comments

Kiki’s enthusiasm for life is contagious and you can’t keep from smiling while in her presence.

First, let’s talk about this girl’s eye-catching looks.  Kiki has a lovely black face that highlights the longest whitest whiskers you’ve ever seen!!!  Complimenting this look is a white chest bib and striking orange eyes.  Kiki proudly wears white mittens on the tip of each toe of both front paws and sports white knee socks on each of her big, hind legs…legs that bear an uncanny resemblance to a rabbit’s big, hind legs!  Speaking of rabbits, Kiki’s fur is bunny soft!

One of her most distinguishing features is what she doesn’t have – Kiki is missing about 90% of her tail.  Someone thought it would be a good idea to put a rubber band around her tail.  This cut off circulation which ultimately resulted in having most of her tail amputated.  This doesn’t stop Kiki from expressing how she feels though.  When Kiki is happy, she shakes her whole body back and forth to express her happiness!  She wags her tail nub so fast you hardly notice she is missing the rest of her tail!

Kiki has more than bounced back from this terrible experience.  She’s not afraid of people after this traumatic event, no sirree – in fact, this affectionate gal runs to greet you as soon you enter the room and follows you around meowing for love and attention!  Kiki is sweet, friendly, and loves to be petted.  While being pet, her whole body wiggles with happiness as she makes biscuits and purrs up a storm!  Her purr slightly reminds you of someone snoring - it’s rather cute!  She enjoys being brushed as well; if you hold the brush in front of her sometimes she’ll just lean right in and start brushing herself!  She’ll make herself comfortable either plopped down right beside you or in your lap, where she’s also been known to happily wiggle like a worm while being petted!  On occasion, she’ll even give out a kitty kiss or two!  Kiki doesn’t mind being held for a few minutes, but then she’ll start talking to let you know she’s ready to get down.

Hmm…did we mention talking?  Kiki has a LOT of opinions and is always happy to share them with you!  She loves having someone to talk to and really seems to appreciate when you meow back!  Kiki is one of the few cats we currently have who will respond when you call her name.

Kiki is a busy kitty and loves to play with just about anything.  She especially enjoys chasing balls, playing in the crinkly tunnel toy, and pursuing all types of wands toys.   One of Kiki’s favorite things are her cardboard scratchers - she likes showing off how strong she is while using them!  She’s also very helpful with chores – if you’re sweeping, you can count on Kiki to run after the broom!  When she’s not busy playing or hanging out with her people, you can find Kiki lounging on the highest level of a kitty condo.  Kiki loves to camp out on high perches where she can keep an eye on everything.  When Kiki is in a silly mood, you can sometimes find her sitting in odd areas, striking an awkward pose.  We once found her sitting on top of her feline friend’s favorite box toy with her paws securely stuffed inside the openings!

Kiki is excited to begin this newer and happier time of her life.  She is a beautiful, affectionate, spunky, and resilient gal who has thrived in spite of the cruelty she experienced.  Kiki will be a wonderful companion and will bring a lot of laughter and love to the family lucky enough to bring this special girl home.
