General Comments

When we first rescued Ava with thought she was the epitome of unconditional love. During Ava's time with us she has proven that statement is 100% true.  Her foster mom reports - "It doesn't matter how long you are gone, when you come back home, you are greeted by such love and joy! This girl even hugs--arms wrapped around your neck and kisses. She really just wants to be in your arms and as close to you as possible. If that is not an option, just give her a comfy bed or couch to snuggle on. She also loves sunning herself during the day. Are you looking for an excuse to skip that floor ab workout today? Ava is your girl. If you let her, she will lay on your chest, give you kisses, and tell you that you're perfect the way you are."

In foster care we have learned that Ava is potty trained and not bothered by her human foster brother (a toddler) running around the house. The toddler energy can get her excited but she is easily redirected by snuggles or a chew toy. She just wants to love on her foster brother. She does not appear to need hours of daily exercise as long as she gets some good enrichment. No inappropriate chewing here! We also have not seen any evidence of separation anxiety. She is very gentle on the leash and, as usual, is happy to be close to you on walks. She also will jog with you and enjoy a good hiking trail.

Ava is a very adaptable gal.  The one thing we know she needs for sure is a human companion that wants an affectionate canine.  If you don't care for kisses or snuggles, Ava is not the dog for you.  As noted Ava has no shortage of unconditional love to share and is eager to give it.

Ava is a true treasure.  She won't be with us long.  Fill out an application today for this special gal.
